REAL HDR Infrared Shot by Rovanite REAL HDR Infrared Shot by Rovanite
PLEASE READ:

I say "Real" because I believe many of the IR shots on this site are faked in one way or another.

I think people use photoshop a bit too much. Photoshop is only needed to change the original image (which is a pinkish red colour) into the blue/white image you see.

I personally believe that many people do more than just changing the colours such as cloning/copying/pasting. But they don't admit it. I have seen some images which have an impossible reflection. The reflection was something you could only get if you copied the image and flipped it over and edited it well.

EDIT: This is now a croped HDR version

Yeah I hate them too, especially when they don't admit that they have used much photoshop and they insist everything is real when it's clearly not...oh well, some people!

Thanks! This one was my longest one to shoot, took an exposure of 1 minute!!! You can use it as a wallpaper if you want :)I do have a larger version, but im only allowing people to see a smaller version. No need for a larger version anywayyyy. Cheers again!

They are both wonderful. It's just...The other pic's water seems to split in the distance, and it feels like one of those photographs that depict a choice to be made. :3

fair enogh! The 'real infrared shot' is of an island in the lake. The other one which you like, only gets the edge of the island in it (on the left) but you can see more of the water going around it. thanks again!

Pretty clean shot! Very well done!
I would have loved to see more reflection though, maybe you should have used a polarizing filter. But I really love the shot.
Concerning the fake IR shots, well they are easy to spot, I mean real easy, at least with my experience with them. :)

Cheers! thank you for the fave too! The water is pretty brown/muddy so it doesnt give off much of a reflection. Maybe it does, I just havnt really noticed :S But thats a good tip, i'll remember my polarising filter next time! :D
